Meh, I apologize for going AWOL for over a year. That puppy I wrote about in my last entry (well I shouldn't say that, I don't know what he was but he wasn't a puppy) turned out to be a huge handful, lol. But he's my baby and I adore him. German Shepherds are exceptional dogs. So intelligent, so gorgeous, so intense, so loyal. I just adore my Remington. <3
So in other news, I was accepted into Harvard. Because of my health (which I'll get to in a moment) and the fact that I can't really leave home until we're moved to Florida, etc. they're allowing me to take my courses via web/telecasts. I'm focusing on creative writing & Japanese. I've been working on my novel again, and it's coming along very nicely. I'm hoping these classes will help me to further master my craft.
Oh, last night my 10 year old cat, Dakota, passed away suddenly. He died in my arms on the way to the ER vet at 2am. My heart is broken.
So, my health. I was diagnosed last summer with autonomic disorder, which basically means the involuntary functions/processes in my body are haywire. It explains why my resting heart rate is always upwards of 120, and why I'm so tired & fatigued all of the time. It could also be the reason for my chronic pain & headaches. I also have a very, very low blood volume and low blood pressure. Unfortunately, there is no cure. I'm really depressed about the whole thing, because I literally feel like hell all day, every day. These headaches have become unbearable, some days I do not function.
The disorder in itself isn't life threatening, although I almost wish it was, simply to justify my constant suffering. There is the potential for serious harm as a result of the heart rate thing, if it gets too fast, I could pass out. So say if I were driving, riding my horse, etc. disaster could strike. Because of this, and the pain, I have not ridden Rocket in over 2 years. It kills me. I had to quit kendo as well.
I started a business in which I sell custom pet I.D. tags in my spare time: [link]

Because I haven't taken photographs seriously (or even visited the zoo at all) in well over a year, those are the places to get in touch with me for now. I will try and upload some photos of Remington for you guys, he's15 months old now and really is a beautiful dog.
Hope everyone has been well!
